Attie Kennelly

Attie Kennelly brings over 30 years of volleyball experience as both a player and coach. A former Division I player at Western Carolina University, she was a four-year starting outside hitter, multi-time All-Conference and All-Region honoree, and still holds multiple school and conference records, including 2,109 career kills. Despite being undersized for her position, she built her success on exceptional technique; an approach that now deeply influences her coaching philosophy. During her time at Western Carolina, she also represented the United States U20 National Team, winning gold in Italy in 2000. She was inducted into the Western Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.

Attie began her coaching career at Wingate University under AVCA Hall of Fame coach Shelton Collier, helping lead the program to a conference championship in 2003. While she stepped away from coaching to focus on family, she has remained deeply connected to the game, playing regularly in the St. Augustine beach volleyball community for over 15 years. Now returning to coaching with the St. Augustine Volleyball Club, Attie brings a passion for developing strong technique, coachable athletes, and exceptional teammates.
