Živa Recek Blackmon brings passion, energy, and knowledge of the game to the court as she begins her role with SAV 14 local. With years of experience competing and developing her skills as an athlete, Ziva understands the importance of hard work, teamwork, and building confidence both on and off the court!

She played for a semi-professional club in Slovenia, before moving to Gainesville where she was a 4-year starter for the University of Florida!
After college Ziva coached at various clubs in Florida and Texas (Gainesville Juniors, Vision, San Antonio Force, Jacksonville Skyline), as well as coached at a smaller D1 university in San Antonio - University of the Incarnate Word. Her coaching philosophy focuses on teaching fundamentals, fostering a positive team culture, and helping athletes reach their full potential while developing a lifelong love for the game.

Ziva worked as a volleyball recruiting coach before transitioning to a role within Under Armour volleyball All-America program! Currently she also coaches at Mill Creek Academy and Tocoi Creek High school, helping both schools with their boys programs.
